Fair Taxes. Real Accountability
  • Your tax dollars will go directly into maintaining and improving essential services like snow removal, fire protection, drainage improvements, traffic management and safety, road and bridge maintenance and improvements, and community support.
  • Strategic Investment to ensure economic diversification for financial strength and stability now and into the future.
  • Hold the line on unnecessary tax hikes while exploring smarter budgeting, shared services and partnerships to keep costs down for residents as evidenced by four years of 0 percent tax rate increases.
  • Clear, public-facing budgets and spending reports so taxpayers know exactly where their money is going.
Strong Communities.
  • Meeting the unique needs of each of the diverse communities within division 2 and Sturgeon County. Whether it is Cardiff, Carbondale, the Valley or our famers, each community has its own ‘personality” and needs. Consistent communication and collaboration to ensure these communities are heard and their needs met.
  • Your home is your castle. Continued focus on rural crime prevention by improving community policing, creating a culture of trust between the community and enforcement services, community involvement and empowerment through programs like Rural crime watch and Crime Prevention through Environmental Design, and leveraging technology and applications such as the RCMP app to further connect neighbors and create a crime resistant community.
  • Beautiful, open community spaces to enhance our quality of life and promote active lifestyles as well as encourage our children to be children and get outside to play.
  • A place for everyone at each stage of life. Enable our children to live grow and play in the communities they’ve grown up in and our seniors a spot to call home into their golden years in the place they’ve loved and nurtured throughout their lives.
Business and Agricultural Business Growth and Development
  • Address the needs of farmers and ranchers, including access to markets, support for sustainable farming practices, diversification through ag business and value-added agriculture, and tackle issues like drought and climate change impacts.
  • Modernize and increase direct and streamlined access to permits and approvals at a County level.
  • We need more entrepreneurs starting up, scaling their business, investing and reinvesting in Sturgeon County. Plan and designate appropriate areas and create desirable conditions to be the location of choice for business activities while minimizing conflicts within the community.
  • Set the appropriate conditions and incentives to bring globally significant industry investment into our Industrial Heartland and growth nodes.
